Slotwagen White Scratch Build Kit – Refund & Returns Policy

At Slotwagen, our White Scratch Build Kits are designed for hobbyists and model builders who enjoy assembling, modifying, tuning, sanding, painting, and finishing their own models. Because every builder's techniques, tools, modifications, and assembly methods differ, we are unable to determine whether damage or defects occurred during the building process or through product misuse.

Our White Scratch Build Kits are supplied as unfinished scratch build products and require assembly, preparation, fitting, sanding, painting, tuning, and other modelling procedures by the customer.

For this reason, Slotwagen does not accept returns or offer refunds for:

Once assembly or modification has commenced, the product is considered accepted by the customer and is no longer eligible for return or refund.

Returns for Unopened Products

If you wish to return an unused product, please contact us prior to returning any items to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.

Once your request has been approved, we will provide detailed return instructions, including the return shipping address.

Returned items must meet all of the following conditions:

Items that have been opened, assembled, modified, painted, used, or otherwise handled beyond normal inspection are not eligible for return unless they were supplied incorrectly by Slotwagen.

Return Timeframe

All approved returns must be shipped back to Slotwagen within 15 calendar days of the original purchase date.

The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs unless the item supplied was incorrect.

We strongly recommend using a shipping service that includes tracking and delivery confirmation, as Slotwagen cannot be responsible for returned parcels lost in transit.

Inspection & Refunds

All returned products will be inspected upon receipt.

If the returned item complies with this policy, a refund will be processed after inspection.

Unless otherwise requested, refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase (including PayPal or credit card where applicable).

You should expect to receive your refund within 10 calendar days after Slotwagen has received and approved the returned item.

Restocking Fee

For approved returns that are not the result of an incorrectly supplied item, Slotwagen reserves the right to charge a 20% restocking fee to cover inspection, handling, repackaging, and administration costs.

Non-Refundable Products

The following products are not eligible for refund or exchange:

Incorrect or Missing Items

If you believe you have received an incorrect item or your order is incomplete, please notify Slotwagen within 48 hours of delivery.

Where an incorrect item has been supplied by Slotwagen, we will arrange an appropriate replacement or refund after verification. Where applicable, reasonable return shipping costs for incorrectly supplied items will be reimbursed.

Damaged Parcels During Shipping

Any damage caused during shipping must be reported to both the courier and Slotwagen immediately upon receipt.

Photographs of the unopened parcel, shipping packaging, and damaged contents may be required to process any courier-related claim.

Acceptance of These Terms

By purchasing a Slotwagen White Scratch Build Kit, the customer acknowledges and agrees that these products are intended as hobby scratch build kits requiring personal assembly and modification.

The customer accepts full responsibility for the assembly, tuning, painting, modification, installation, and use of the product. Slotwagen cannot accept responsibility for damage arising from the building process or subsequent modifications performed by the customer.
